The construction of the flooring itself offers the stability and durability against expansion and contraction. What are the standard size and packaging of FEF?The standard size is 14 mm thick x 90mm wide x random length (450 mm, 600mm, and 750 mm) packed in corrugated boxes. One box contains 1.08 sqm. and weighing 17 kgs.5. Could we install FLOREST Engineered Flooring by ourselves?Yes, the customers could install FEF themselves but we do not recommend customers to do so. Alternatively, the customers should hire a professional carpenter to do the job.6. What are the applications of FEF?FLOREST Engineered Flooring is primarily designed for residential applications. It could be installed as floor in a dining room, living room, especially in the bedroom. Alternatively, it also can be applied as your ceiling or walls.7. What is the average useful life of FLOREST Engineered Flooring (FEF)?The useful life of FEF depends on several factors; such as installation and maintenance methods. With proper installation and regular maintenance, it should last more than 10 years.8. What is the appropriate maintenance method to extend the useful life of FEF?The best method is to use mop with water to clean the floor daily. FEF is easy to clean as there is no groove between each piece of wood and so no dust accumulates after installation.9. What kind of sub-floor is suitable for installation FLOREST Engineered Flooring?Polished concrete floor is suitable to apply as sub-floor to install FEF. In case of unleveled concrete floor, plywood with thickness at least 10 mm. should be used to adjust the level of the subfloor before installation of FEF.10. What is the different between laminated flooring, solid wood flooring and FLOREST Engineered Flooring (FEF)?Laminated floor is made of High Density Fiber board (HDF), which is covered by a printed paper and coating with melamine resin. It is cheap, easy to install but not last very long. While solid wood flooring is very expensive, very difficult to find good quality wood and very difficult to install. In addition, solid wood flooring has high opportunity of expanding and contracting all the time. Compare to FLOREST Engineered Flooring (FEF), it uses genuine wood veneer.
